Product Description

Manufacturer's Description

The AX250 has been designed to make it simple to take a good photo. Perfect as a first time digital camera, the easy to use controls & intuitive graphical user interface make it a joy use. This camera is ideal for all ages, from kids to grandparents. You won't be overwhelmed by lots of controls and fancy features yet this camera has everything you need to take quality photos.

Fujinon 5x zoom with High Resolution
The combination of high 14 megapixel resolution and precision Fujinon 5x zoom makes the AX250 well equipped to photograph a variety of subjects, from holiday landscapes to dramatic close-up shots in breathtaking detail and clarity. The 28mm wide-angle is great for expansive vistas or group shots where you want to fit more in the frame.

HDTV-Compatible Photos & Video
Able to capture both photos and movies (720p) in HD format, the FinePix AX250 lets you discover the impact of full-screen HDTV image display.
*Optional HD Player HDP-L1 is required to view photos and movies on HDTVs.

Blur-free Photos
Don't let your memories be a blur. Digital Image Stabilisation increases the camera's shutter speed and sensitivity to reduce blur that is caused by camera shake and subject movement to give you clear and crisp photos every time.

Panoramic Shooting stitches up to
three photos together in camera resulting
in one impressive panoramic shot

Panoramic Shooting Mode
This mode is great when you want to do justice to a sweeping landscape or want to take a picture of a large group of people. Simply take three consecutive shots of a scene and Panoramic Shooting mode seamlessly stitches them together in- camera to create a single panoramic picture

Intelligent Scene Detection Technology
The FinePix AX250 can detect up to six commonly photographed scenes and optimises focus, exposure and white balance to suit the scene being shot. Simply select SR Auto and let the camera do all the hard work. The scenes it can detect are: Portrait, Landscape, Night, Macro, Night Portrait, Backlit Portrait.

Natural Light & with Flash
Can't decide whether flash is required? Choose this mode, press the shutter and automatically capture the same scene twice: once with high sensitivity and natural light, and the second time with Intelligent Flash. Later choose one or keep both!

very light, easy to use, loads of options and produces amazing quality pictures. although my old camera had a steel case while this one has a plastic one, not a major con.

It's a very cheap and sophisticated camera. I was skeptic before I got it, but now I think differently. It makes great pictures, it's small, user friendly, a lot of options for great capture: panoramic, scene recognition etc..

My video clip was taken with my Fuji AX250 on holiday on 13 October 2011. It shows the archery competition in Lingshi village, Bhutan on the day of the Bhutanese royal wedding, the day the King got married.

I have had a FujiFinepix E550 compact digicam for about 6 years. It travelled the world with me, most recently last autumn to the remoteness and dustiest corners of Nepal. Never let me down and took great pics. I have been particularly pleased with the quality of the macro. Still my preferred camera despite buying 3 more including an expensive Sony SLR. So why buy this Fuji FinePix AX250? It is the season for flower photography and in March I took lots of flower close-ups with my reliable old Fuji but in April it disappeared from its usual place and having turned the house upside down I have admitted defeat and bought this little camera to replace the missing one.

So far I am very pleased. The quality of the 14MP pictures, both macro and wide angle, is great and 5x zoom seems to work well too. The pictures I took today of the raindrops on the poppies and cranesbills flowers are sharp and very true to colour. They will look great when printed and framed. Well pleased for £64.99 plus the outlay on an 8mb memory card.

It is a very simple camera to use and that's what I need. It runs on just 2 AA batteries compared to the 4 required by its predecessor. My large expenditure on rechargeable batteries will not be wasted though I suspect this one will be a little less battery-hungry. It is very useful to have a camera which runs on these batteries. you can buy almost anywhere in the world in an emergency.

My only slight initial caveat is that the camera is very small, about half the size of my E550 which had an altogether more solid feel about.

I was looking for a simple camera to take on a motorcycle holiday that I could switch on and use with gloves on. These Fuji AX250's have a nice big on/off button and good automatic photo quality. I can use it one handed with glove. I also like the fact it takes batteries so no charger to lug round.

Was a present for my girlfreind. Was very unsure if it would be any good because was cheap but I was absolutly amazed works fantastic and produces excellent shots. My only critisism is the situation with batterys. Requires 2*AA and has no facility to use a battery charger.

This is a good little camera for the money! Like a lot of digital cameras it takes a while to process the data and so rapid repeat shots is a no, no - however, it is packed with features and for the money it makes a really usefull little tool
