First off let me say I'm no camera boffin, but someone who wanted a cheap camera that was easy to use but still took decent pictures.
The Fujifilm finepix is a small camera but still fine to hold & the buttons easily found & easy to set up & use.
I had to buy the SD memory card & the case separately, what it comes with is a hand tie to attatch to the camera, a usb cable for the computer & set of initial simple instuctions & a cd to download instructions & picture software if you want.
The instructions are easy to use & comprehensive, I cannot comment on the picture software as I have my own already installed.
I have had lots of fun using the the different modes I am especially thankful that there is a picture stabilisation mode, because my hands do shake sometimes, I also like having the intelligent face recognition, & framing guidelines so I can take a straight picture. You can also chop your photograph down to size or have lots side by side & then print them off together.
Taking the pictures downloading & deleting images is a breeze, videoing the family delightful.
The only negative I can come up with is that it is as with these type of cameras, they are heavy on the batteries, so you always need a spare set, the durecell rechargeable AA are very good & cheaper on Amazon than anywhere else even the supermarkets at time of review.
For someone of my needs this camera fits the bill, the next one up from this is the fujifilm AV100 & that has auto red eye removal & at the moment is only £6.50 more expensive at the time of doing this review I think that would be better value, as you get an extra 2 MP. Just a thought.
Still I am very pleased with my camera... Happy snapping...
