Having debated for a while whether to add this strobe to my Fuji camera, eventually got round to ordering it. Was a little surprised when the item arrived as on initial inspection the arm was nearly half the length of the one advertised and the plate to which the camera attached was straight and not bent.
Decided to give it the benefit of the doubt and took it on a 5 day diving trip to Scotland.
Pros': Easy to setup and use, synchronised to the camera on the first attempt. Housing stayed dry!
Cons' : The screw attaching the strobe housing to the arm came lose and the strobe fell off! Luckily within reach. The arm was very stiff and difficult to manoeuvre under water. The screw attachment for the camera housing is the wrong size, I had to use a cylinder o-ring to tighten the connection between the two. As the arm is so short, back scatter was a problem.
As I had passed the Amazon return deadline I called Fuji directly. Spoke to a very helpful person. To cut a long story short Fuji have changed the product supplied but have not updated any of the pictures on Amazon or even their own web site. I was able to exchange my housing for the demo one they kept in the support centre but that was the last one.
Because of the service I received from Fuji, I was not going to post a review. As they have not (two weeks later) updated the product details thought I'd advise potential purchasers to be aware!

The item i received WAS NOT the item featured in the product photograph by Amazon - I returned it for a full refund. BE CAREFUL the strobe lamp is genuine but the fixing bracket and flexible arm are are definately not anything like the manufacturers product - DONT BUY!!!

I have used my Fuji Underwater Slave Strobe on many dives now and have found it tho be a very useful addition to the built in flash on my Sony Cybershot. If you are like me and like to take interesting pictures underwater without forking out a fortune, then I would definatly recommend this unit.
