The nano-porous ink receiving layer has been refined to improve the smoothness of the surface while providing a luxurious gloss. This also leads to higher density of output images, producing the appearance of a deep sense of dimensionality.
The material for the ink receiving layer has been further refined and uniformly applied to the surface using thin-layer application technology.
Image sharpness is improved by fixating the image on the surface of the paper. The layer has been made much clearer and more uniform to produce smoother granulation

For many years I have kept faithfully to the same brand of paper as my photo printer.
Recent difficulties in calibrating my photo set-up caused me to rethink my whole photo printing process. As part of that review I resolved to experiment with alternative photo papers.
My experiments with this Fuji paper were so successful that I now use only Fuji paper for glossy photo printing. The availability of such a heavy paper adds to the quality of the prints I produce for family and friends.
That there is quite a financial advantage in using the Fuji paper over my previous is a bonus.

I bought this quality paper for a Canon photo printer (in addition to a cheap and cheerful value-version for run-of-mill printing) and it works brilliantly. Canon's own brand - Canon Original Bubble Jet Media Photo Paper - which is same specification for print size (6"x4") and sheet count (50) is at least 50% more expensive than this quality photo paper. I didn't notice significant quality difference, and if there is, I think this one is even better considering the fact that this paper is thicker at 270gsm compared with 170gsm for the Canon one.
No hesitation in recommending this quality photo paper, particularly with Fuji's own clear endorsement for being suitable for all photo printers.

The quality for pictures that are printed at home is really good. The paped dryes really quick (about 1 minute).
