I bought this item as a natural accompaniment to my Finepix S8000fd. The basic quality is fine, and it has its own very substantial shoulder strap attached. The one criticism I have is that it is too tight a fit if you leave the camera's own shoulder strap attached (and I can't imagine many people would want to remove the camera's own strap). I use the case because I don't like leaving the camera unprotected. However, every time I put the camera back in its case, I struggle to fold / screw up / persuade the camera strap into a sufficiently small package to allow me to zip the case closed. A little more space would have been good.
A dedicated case for the model, & it fits it like a glove; except it doesn't have any fingers.
More of a mitten then, really.
