The first thing that hits you when this item turns up at your door is the size. The box was well over 6 feet long. Then you are confronted by the weight. Almost 100 KG. I had 2 delivery men bring it, so it was OK getting into the house. It comes in 4 main pieces. The running deck and motor, The display console, The upper mounting assembly and a pair of uprights that support the upper assembly and console. You get a mains lead and a rather limited user manual that also contains assembly instructions. You also get some plastic panels and a bag of screws and washers.

Be careful how you assemble the uprights. There is a right and wrong way to fit them. Get it wrong and you'll have to take them off again. I would also recommend you not fitting the screws until after you get all the main parts assembled. Having a bit of slack when assembling the main components was helpful. You will probably want to assemble it where it is going to be used, as it is wider than a standard door when fully assembled.

Once put together it seemed to be a fairly sturdy piece of kit. Looks a bit like a Sixties space robot, and it is quite big. The folding mechanism is very easy to use. You pick up the bed by hand with very little effort until it locks in place. To lower you just pull out the locking pin and it gently lowers itself back to floor level without you having to do anything. When it is in the folded position, wheels on the base become available and it is quite easy to move around if you can't have it in a fixed position in the room where it is used.

When I first turned on the power and set it running there was a squeaking coming from the belt. I localised it to somewhere near the motor assembly and the plastic cover panel. A little manipulation of the plastic cover solved the squeak.
