Product Description

Shaper smells as delicious as it makes your hair look. The firm hold crème is super-versatile; you can mould, piece or texturise your hair, or just use a little bit and give your hair that messy, just-out-of-bed look. Shaper leaves hair pliable, so it still has some movement, but gives it a matte, lived-in texture.

A blend of natural waxes, ceresin and carnauba wax delivers texture and definition and special film-formers provide anti-humidity properties to maintain your hairstyle for longer. Hydrolised wheat protein strengthens and improves hair condition, preventing hair from being ravaged by daily styling.

Ingredients

Aqua (Water), Alcohol Denatured, Lanolin Wax, Petrolatum, Cetearyl Alcohol, PVP, Mineral Oil, Octyl Palmitate, PVP/VA Copolymer, PEG-20 Stearate, Cetearyl Alcohol, Ceteareth-25, Propylene Glycol, Carnauba Wax, Ozokerite, PEG-40 Castor Oil, Sodium Cetearyl Sulphate, Cetearyl Alcohol, Phenoxy Ethanol, Methylparaben, Ethylparaben, Propylparaben, Parfum, Cocodimonium Hydroxypropyl, Hydrolysed Wheat Protein.

My own story; i've got tedious DNA of 'straight'/strong hair that has seemingly never grown flat (apart from the sideburns). As a result, my head has encountered more hair products over the years than what Cheryl Cole uses before going on The X Factor. Its interesting that many people seem to envy this type of growth, but personally I can't stand it as it just grows outwards.

Never been one to pay a lot for hair products, but 'Fudge' was probably the first instance I did so given it had such a fine reputation. I started off with a tub of this 'Original Shaper' and have certainly not looked back. Sure, its not going to alter how your hair grows, but what it allows you to do is to work with the type of hair you have - without the compromise of looking as though you've shoveled wet glue onto your head. It does what the packaging says, it texturises your hair so that you can give it some shape whilst retaining its original colour and look.

You don't need to use a lot of it either, but depending on the thickness of your locks, this will alter. I've got a thick head of hair and have learnt how much i'll need depending on the conditions (i.e How quickly I washed and dried it), but generally speaking, you can create the best amount of volume and texture by simply spreading a small amount of the Fudge on your fingertips (underside) and, with hair "bone dry", pushing the fingers through the base of the fringe up to the crown, twisting at the crown (to catch the back of your heard), and then back forward. Simple!

Best attribute however is that it washes out so, so easily. Not sticky/waxy at all - it just literally rinses out like magic. The compromise however is that you'll be gutted without a hood in the rain.

If you haven't tried Fudge Hair Shaper, you must - it's the best hair product ever. I've got wild, wiry hair like Medusa and this is the only product that tames it, prevents frizz and gives good separation. I live in fear of Fudge ceasing production...

I have used Fudge Hair Shaper for around 10 years - the three I received last week are different so either these are not actual Fudge or they changed the formula?

Fudge is soft - the ones I have received are hard and waxy, it is white whereas Fudge was not and Fudge smelt nice - this doesn't smell of anything.

So are these duds or have they changed the formula?

I must have been using Fudge Hair Shaper (10) for about 10 years now... the main reasons for thsi are:

*It washes out very easily with head and shoulders... where as some products require a couple of washes to remove...

*When I rode a motorbike to work, it was hard to wet/reshape your hair, not with this, works brilliantly!

* Long lasting, stays on your hair all day/night, no need to reapply

* Tub lasts me about 2 months

* Smells nice :)

Hopefully this product will be around for years to come!

I have used Fudge for about 6 years. The Original is far better than the Mint and definately is not the same texture. A 75g size will probably last me 3 years on my short hair (the last one did). I cannot style my hair with out it. I had a draw of other shapers I have brought to "give them a go" but have only used them a couple of times and wish I hadn't bothered. I have very fine hair that needs Fudge to stop it being fly away and to give it texture. You need the tinest bit on finger tips to lift hair from under to give it lift and then go through the top layers to give them body and shape. Truely love it.

I bought this hair product with high hopes after reading all the gleaming reviews of it. I've always struggled with hair products as my hair is very thick, strong and curly and hair products more often than not fail to tame it, and this product was no different. To get my hair to hold as intended I had to use three times the suggested amount and a blast of hairspray. So If you've hair like mine then I suggest you try another product

Best hair product I've come accross. been using it for several years now.
has both the positive properties of wax and gel without the crap you get. Not sticky, no residue, or bad smell. Works and holds great.
