5.0 out of 5 stars Every fan should have it! 14 April 2001
By A Customer
Format:Audio CD
This album is what got me hooked on Clannad. 'An Tull' is very catchy (with Enya singing lead vocals), and 'Mheall si lena glorthai me' has a nice guitar solo. 'Lish Young Buy-a-Broom' is fun and a true Irish ditty, done in typical Clannad form. Also beautiful is 'The Green Fields of Ghaothdobhair', which calls up images of Ireland in one's mind. The only song that I didn't enjoy too much was 'Ni la na gaoithe la na scoilb?'. The beginning of the song was fine, but the rest of it dragged on, and on, etc. This really is the benchmark album of Clannad's, and is worth buying. If you need somewhere to start with Clannad, go no further than Fuaim.

3.0 out of 5 stars Whos that girl? 12 April 2001
By A Customer
Format:Audio CD
One of Clannads earlier albums (the one prior to their magical ring album, featuring theme from Harrys game) and the only one featuring Maire's little sister Eithne, or as we know & love her today, Enya! Eithne's added vocals and keyboard skills certainly give this album a more fuller sound than it's predecessors. Fuaim is a lot more folky sounding than Clannads more recent work with most of the songs being traditional or not actually written by Clannad, and although only three of the songs are sung in English, for any devoted Clannad (or Enya) fan it's Still well worth a listen. :-)

For me this is the real Clannad, beautiful authentic and I prefer this era to the more modern stuff they do which can sound a bit lift music
