The Frye Company is the oldest continuously operated shoe company in the United States. Founded in 1863 by John A. Frye, a well-to-do shoemaker from England, and family-run until 1945, Frye products have a long and illustrious history. Frye boots were worn by soldiers on both sides of America's Civil War, soldiers in the Spanish-American war, and by Teddy Roosevelt and his Rough Riders. When home-steadying drew adventurous New England families to the West during the mid and late 1800's many of the pioneers wore Frye Boots for the long journey. Today Frye remains true to its roots with its line of heritage boots, but continues to innovate as it introduces chic new handbags, pumps, and sandals to its collection.

Frye Carmen 3 Strap Boot

Love these boots! I bought a size up as recommended for most Frye styles, and they fit perfectly. Super comfortable... first time I wore them was to a concert where I waited in line and stood for 4 hours, then walked a couple of miles, and danced, and walked some more... and my feet were perfectly happy.
The only issue I had is that the shaft of this boot is pretty wide, and it gaped on me a fair bit. I just put an extra hole in each of the straps and did them up tighter. It gave the boot an edgy-er, rock'n roll effect that I really like (they go with True Religion jeans like they were made for each other!).
My next pair of boots will definitely be Frye. The quality, craftmanship, and style are incomparable!

I love these boots

I searched high and low for these boots in my size and I just love them. They fit perfect. I am between 6.5 and 7 and I got the 7. I got them in a worn black color. I get compliments ALL the time. I highly recommend them. I'm sure I'll have them forever and they are so timeless I can't imagine they'd go out of style.

I absolutely LOVE these boots. I am usually between an 8 & an 8.5 and got the 8.5. They fit perfectly and I've gotten so many compliments on these boots. I can't believe the great deal on Amazon for these as they're regular price is almost $400! On Nordstrom they were still $350 when I ordered mine on Amazon. Again...awesome shoe, fits great and great quality. I read a review that said the boots were slippery while walking but mine were fine! The color is great too... I can wear them with pretty much any color clothing. These were my FIRST Frye Boot purchase and I was really happy. Amazon shipped them quickly too!
