As a green tea and coffee drinker, with the odd occasion of drinking luke-warm plain boiled water, it came to me as a surprise that you could infuse fruit flavours into it, especially with real fruits.

Previously though, prior to discovering this recipe book, I thought it was just a novelty product that was available from your local supermarket of which mainly consisted of artificial flavourings, and despite being the sceptic and boring person that I am, I decided to venture out and try a recipe or two.

Now the recipes in the book of which some involved cucumbers, I can't comment about, as I absolutely hate them things, so instead I tried the “what seemed like a safer option” i.e. the lemon/lime/orange combination omit the ice, and used cooled down boiled water instead of tap / filter water as suggested in the recipe. I must say that it was pretty refreshing, albeit a bit tangy, nevertheless I'm impressed.

There's a smattering of recipes in the book to try out for those who are a little more adventurous that I am, of which no doubt many will be wanting to experiment and have lots of fun drinking them. Personally I think I'll still stick with my green tea, but I'll surely will be swapping to drinking more fruit infused water over coffee now especially with the warm summer season. Overall, a great recipe book that provided some rather eye-opening facts about consumption of sugar, as well as the health benefits of drinking water, and the rather useful element of food hygiene and handling of fruit.

I did the 30 day water challenge this month and found it really hard to keep up because I simply can't stand drinking water. I was so glad to find this book as it not only introduces you to fruit infused water but it also makes you conscious of how important water is.
It also tells you how to correctly prepare fruit because of germs, which I thought was useful as I'm nightmare for things like and often forget.
I've tried four of the recipes so far and every one has gone down a treat with my daughter. She's the same as me and hates the taste of water, so I felt relieved when she enjoyed fruit water. It really saves me from buying sugary drinks as that's what she drinking a lot of until I got this book. I like how each recipes has a health benefit to it, such as helping boost the immune system or helping the digestive system.
My favorite has got to be the cucumber, kiwi and lime infused water. Tastes great and I usually have this in the morning and during a workout session at home. Since I've been drinking more water, I've finally been able to break my weight loss plateau and have lost 3 lbs.
The book has inspired me to experiment with other fruits too and make my own recipes.
Really recommend this book for people who struggle to drink water and also to people with children who don't like water.
Will be looking out for more books by this author.

A really good book for those people who want to drink healthily,but also want a variety of flavours.I just love the fact that,different drinks can help in different ways,such as weight loss,or stress,as well as tasting delicious.I will be infusing a lot more drinks as summer comes,and so will all my family,and keeping healthy at the same time.
