Best buy in ages! 9 Jun 2011
Format:Audio CD
I bought this album as an impulse buy after hearing 'The Golden Age' on the Heineken advert and in the hope that the rest of the album wouldn't be a folly, well now I can confirm that it isn't!

It takes a couple of listens through to start to really feel the band's rhythm but once it all clicks it's just fab fun to listen to.

Without making it anything but the bubblegum pop it is the album is just a brilliantly constructed which just picks you up and puts a big fat smile on your face!

Really hope they continue to make such enjoyable music for a long time to come.....

Great stuff 10 Jan 2011
By JMC
Format:MP3 Download
Having heard Around The Bend, I decided to check out more of The Asteroids Galaxy Tour with the glum expectation that they would be another boring old one-hit wonder band.

Boy was I wrong.

Having bought this album, my MP3 player has barely had a chance to play anything else. After a few listens, it is almost impossible not to be singing along to Lady Jesus, The Golden Age, Push the Envelope, etc. - Mette's quirky singing style (although it may not be everybody's cup of tea) adds a certain charm to proceedings. With catchy melodies and a style that at some times feels like a laid-back summer afternoon, and at other times teems with energy, this album puts a smile on my face every time. Love it.

Thanks to Heineken
I am always very nervous about buying an album on the strength of a single track, especially one used in an advert. Read more

Great
If you like the Dandy Warhols you will like this. Its not mainstream pop for the young kids, you have to listen to the lyrics. A good buy.

You may have seen the track 'The Golden Age' on the 2011 Heineken ad -- the one with the guy who turns up at a party which seems to revolve entirely around him. Read more
