Well what can I say apart from FABULOUS !!! I own the philips candles but wanted something a bit more realistic .Theres a few mooncandles for sale on amazon and I watched a few in my shopping basket before deciding on these as take notice that some mooncandles are all the same size, some are different heights which is what I ordered and also theres the smooth sided ones and the ones which look like dripping wax which I wanted, also the vanilla smell is great .Firstly theres a switch on the base of the candles which you just place to the on position, and pull the plastic tab out the top of the remote , and wow amazing, there are so many colour options, greens , red, blues, yellows, purples and you can have the colour still or flicker (on the mode button), also theres a multicolour button so it changes itself, so much fun, I havent tried the 4 hr or 8 hr button yet-not sure if you just press it the once to set it yet, will try that out tonight.The box was adequately packed as these are real wax and id noticed some reviews the candles arrived cracked but no problems with mine...I highly recommend these and will buy some more!
UPDATE DEC 11....They do seem to use a lot of battery power since Ive bought them ive had to change the batteries twice , but I still like them just need to stock up a bit on the batteries!

These candles are so good, they are real wax which i did not expect, the colours are superb. You can have them in different colours or all in the same colour. There is a natural looking colour as well as all the bright blue, greens etc. The candles come with batteries which is perfect, so easy to use, just turn them on and leave them. They are great! Every house should have them.

These are a little too realistic for my liking in one domain - they stink just like real scented candles. I happen to find it a bit much, but i suspect lots more people will love the vanilla scent. I bought these for a present for someone who doesn't mind a bit of kitsch, but tbh, they aren't at all tacky, but simply very convincing. Like real candles, but much, much better. Fire hazard aside, normal petrochemical candles pollute your indoor atmosphere, (vanilla scent aside), these don't. Normal candles are a faff; these arent. Normal candles only have lit & unlit modes; these have steady, flickering, multicoloured or sole colour. Normal candles you have to reach - these you can park in inaccessible places & zap with the remote. I'm really impressed & going to get myself some unscented ones - and a 7dayshop battery charger for the batteries!

OK but batteries run out fast given they use LEDs
Do what it says on box but 9 AAA cells every week even if you only use for a few hours. Also colour varies quite a lot between units when all three set at same colour.
