Product Description

FRONTLINE Spot On is a treatment for Cats that provides long-lasting protection against fleas and ticks, and controls biting lice. FRONTLINE Spot On Cat can be used in kittens from 8 weeks of age and weighing at least 1kg. It is used for the treatment and prevention of infestations by fleas (Ctenocephalides spp.), ticks (Rhipicephalus spp., Dermacentor spp. and Ixodes spp.) in Cats, and as part of a treatment strategy for Flea Allergy Dermatitis, where this has been previously diagnosed by a veterinary surgeon. The product controls infestations with Felicola subrostratus biting lice on Cats. FRONTLINE Spot On acts by direct contact with parasites and not via your pees bloodstream. It kills fleas within 24 hours without requiring them to bite your pet. 1. FRONTLINE Spot On is applied externally to your pees skin on the back of the neck. 2. The active ingredient, fipronil, quickly dissolves into the natural oils of your pees skin and coat, dispersing over the entire body surface within 24 hours and concentrating in the sebaceous glands (the skin's oil glands) to form a reservoir. 3. Fipronil is then secreted with the sebum (the natural oils of the skin and hair), continuously coating your pees skin and hair for several weeks after appliCation - in fact ies the longest-lasting spot on flea treatment available. Available in packs of 3 or 6 pipettes for Cats over 8 weeks old and weighing more than 1kg

No longer works 25 July 2011
We have always use Frontline on our cat, but found recently that it no longer works. Unfortunately, the fleas had spread all over the house before we realised there was a problem. After a brief search on the internet, we discovered that lots of other people have had the same experience with Frontline. We switched to Advocate, and our cat stopped scratching.

I was advised by my vet that this treatment is no longer working for cat's. the flea's have adapted, time to move on to something new. I have a cat that is VERY allergic to flea's, I'm talking fur loss and bleeding skin and he's a long haired Berman so it's not pretty or very nice for him bless him. I had to take him to the vet because the frontline had stopped working, he was in an awful state and it was then I learned to my horror that frontline is no longer working. so 80 quid later I am having to do my other 3 cats and my home all because this product no longer work's and I'll bet the company knows this and doesn't care so don't be mislead please. your cats and you WILL suffer otherwise.

If your cats are like mine using an aerosol or spray is like trying to strangle a cat you end up with loads of scratches!

Although they don't like this they do allow you to put this stuff on with almost no fuss.

It works well too
