Product Description

Frontline Medium Dog Spot On Flea Treatments

Frontline Spot On has become a trusted household name in the fight against fleas on our domesticated friends. Most dogs will have experienced fleas at some point in their lives, causing unnecessary irritation for our K9 companions. Frontlines' active ingredient; Fipronil, is a veterinary strength chemical which kills fleas and will also fight against ticks and biting lice.

Regular use of Frontline will help you keep your pet happy, healthy and comfortable. A quick application on to the back of your pets neck will allow the treatment to dissolve in the skin and coat and cover your whole pets surface within a day. Excess chemical is stored in your pets natural oil glands. Natural oil secretions made by your pets body will then keep repeating the treatment for up to two months.

Frontline is an easy to administer external flea treatment that starts to kill fleas immediately. The nature of Frontline Spot On Medium Dog means it does not need to go into your dogs blood stream. This makes it suitable for use on pregnant or mother dogs, as it will not affect her puppies. Frontline can be used on puppies once they reach 8 weeks old, providing they meet at least the 2Kg minimum weight for the small dog pack.

Frontline Spot On Facts:

  • Kills at least 98% of fleas within 24 hours
  • Effective against fleas for around two months after treatment
  • Kills ticks within 48 hours
  • Effective against ticks for around a month after treatment
  • Lice infestations are under control within 48 hours

Suitable For:

  • Treating Fleas
  • Preventing Fleas, Ticks and Lice
  • Use on dogs within the weights specified (Medium dog weights are between 10 and 20Kg)
  • Puppies over 8 weeks and within the weights specified (Smaller dog packs m

I used to get my dog flea treatment at my vet. Then it was available accross the counter at the pharmacy. Now I just
buy online, I tend to forget to buy it. Not a problem any more. Speedy delivery. The product I have used for 20 years. (not me obviously my old dog and now my new one) so I trust it completely, the price was also very competetive.

Fleas are a real problem and my dog had them once, he infested the whole house in a matter of a few days, they were everywhere. I had to spend about £200.00 on cans of flea killer to fumigate my home one room at a time. They even hopped off me onto my desk at work during a meeting so the use of chemical weapons in my home was justified. Since that episode I have used Frontline on my dog regularly, my mutt and home have remained flea free. I tried the collars, waste of money and toxic to dogs if they eat or chew them for any reason I found out.

Product arrived on time. Got what I asked for though very disappointed with the expiry date (not long enough) product will be out of code by the time I use the second frontline.

I have been using this on my dog, Rupert, for years and he has never had a problem with fleas or ticks so I think it works well, as we live in the country side - plenty of long grass and mixing with other dogs.

Perhaps like me you have heard that fleas have grown a tolerance to Frontline after years of exposure to it?! (Well I chose to dismiss that as a rumour spread by a competitor as a marketing ploy to harm the sales of the prestigious brand! After all,'Frontline' is synonymous with Flea control (Rather like what 'Hoover' is to Vacuum cleaners) but the fact remains that after 2 doses of this product onto my poor riddled French Bulldog, he remained crawling with the pesky critters :-( Now speaking of 'Hoover' one must remember that the way to rid your home and pets of fleas is to constantly vacuum (something about the vibrations hatching the eggs - vile idea I know - but it's part of the necessary 3 pronged attack!.....

So rather than spending out (a lot) on Frontline,I regretfully but categorically state that you WILL get better results and save money by investing some effort instead.....

So no.1 Hoover everywhere!
No.2 Flea bomb/spray your carpets and soft furnishings
No. 3 Repeat 1 with the hoover again
No. 4 I personally (that is my dog not me) found that a simple flea comb run through the dogs fur (especially around the butt) got most of the fleas out (where I could murder them in hot water for their crimes)
No 5. This is an experimental effort - I've just tried dusting the dog with Yellow Flowers of Sulphur powder (available on Amazon ;-) Like I said, I've only just applied this last night so the jury is out BUT it's supposedly an age-old tried and tested method of treating dogs (and horses?!) with mites, fleas, mange and other skin conditions....

...Well, it HAS to be more effective than Frontline.
