Frontline Large Dog Spot On Flea Treatments
Frontline Spot On has become a trusted household name in the fight against fleas on our domesticated friends. Most dogs will have experienced fleas at some point in their lives, causing unnecessary irritation for our K9 companions. Frontlines' active ingredient; Fipronil, is a veterinary strength chemical which kills fleas and will also fight against ticks and biting lice.
Regular use of Frontline will help you keep your pet happy, healthy and comfortable. A quick application on to the back of your pets neck will allow the treatment to dissolve in the skin and coat and cover your whole pets surface within a day. Excess chemical is stored in your pets natural oil glands. Natural oil secretions made by your pets body will then keep repeating the treatment for up to two months.
Frontline is an easy to administer external flea treatment that starts to kill fleas immediately. The nature of Frontline Spot On Large Dog means it does not need to go into your dogs blood stream. This makes it suitable for use on pregnant or mother dogs, as it will not affect her puppies. Frontline can be used on puppies once they reach 8 weeks old, providing they meet at least the 2Kg minimum weight for the small dog pack.

Frontline Flea & Tick treatment and Drontal Plus worming tablets are both recognised by DEFRA for the treatment of animals entering the UK under the PETS Travel Scheme. Treatment under this scheme is not for the benefit of the animals; it is to prevent diseases being carried into the UK which could be harmful to humans. However, as a pet owner, I want the best for my animals so I do not waste my time and money buying lesser products `off the supermarket shelf'. When in the UK, I stick to the recommended treatment programme but since the PETS scheme started we have frequently taken our dogs to France where we have family. In addition to the treatment required by DEFRA prior to our return, I always treat our dogs at the start of the holiday and I have had occasion to remove the odd dead tick during our stay. Consequently, I have no doubt whatsoever as to the effectiveness of both treatments.
After that, it is a question of getting the best price. There are various prices and P&P charges listed on Amazon. I buy a year's supply at a time so a low unit price can still work out more economical even with higher P&P charges. You simply have to work out which is best for you.

We've used this product for many years but recently it has become far less effective. We've treated our cats and dogs this year and they all still have fleas. I have read that fleas have possibly developed an immunity to this product so be warned.

Widely regarded as the most effective form of flea control on the market. Do not buy cheaper products found in the supermarkets and pet shops. You get what you pay for here. However, DO NOT forget that you shouldn't ever rely solely on a particular treatment. If you have a real flea problem with your cats and dogs at home you might have to also consider spraying your home etc.

Worth ordering online
