Just what I needed to make Pioneer woman cinnamon buns! The buns were delicious and you could taste the maple in the icing. It is great that you can get these difficult to find products online but I wish they (or the postage) was slightly less expensive as the total cost seemed high for such a small item, hence the 4 stars. Other than that, the product was great.

Great maple taste and no propylene glycol or sugar - I would love it even more without the soy in it.

Just like McCormick 4 July 2012

Good stuff! I make my own "syrup" just like my mother did when I was little. Now, I find that real maple syrup is too expensive, and the texture of the corn syrup products makes me gag.

Bring 2 cups of sugar and 1 cup of water to a boil to dissolve the sugar. Remove from heat and add 1/4 teaspoon flavoring. It's a little thinner than the real stuff, and much thinner than that Aunt Jemima stuff, but it's still great.

It's a glass bottle, but they packed it in a ton of bubble wrap, so no issues there.

Way Better Than McCormicks! 12 Sept. 2013
By Grandma - Published on Amazon.com
I live in Vermont, smack-dab in the middle of Maple Country. Maple in all forms is standard fare in my kitchen - maple sugar, maple syrup and yes, a little bottle of Frontier Maple Flavor Alcohol-Free, 2-Ounce Bottle for those times when I want a boost of maple flavor. Add a teaspoon to your favorite sugar cookie or frosting recipe along with the vanilla for a rich maple flavor. A few drops added to your baked beans wouldn't go amiss either. (Be careful - a little of this goes a very long ways.)

You have to be very careful when choosing maple flavoring. Some of it is made out of things you might not expect. Not so Frontier Maple Flavor. Frontier is the premier supplier of spices, flavorings and more to natural food co-ops nationwide. I've been relying on them for three decades.

Frontier Maple Flavor contains glycerin, water, natural flavors (contains soy), malt extract (contains barley gluten). Those with certain food allergies will want to note the presence of soy and that this is not gluten-free.

Grandma's $0.02 - Great maple flavor, reliable product.

Highly recommended

Great taste 24 Dec. 2013

I bought this maple flavor to make my own low-calorie maple syrup without sugar alcohol or artificial sweeteners, which are commonly found in commercial syrups. I use stevia instead. I've been very happy with the results. I also add some of this maple flavor to my morning oatmeal, on top of baked sweet potato, and in my homemade butternut-squash soup. The flavor is delicious for all of these uses.

Real maple flavoring 16 Dec. 2013

I was looking for real maple flavor not artificial. I do not like processed food and found that "pure maple syrup" is rarely in my budget. I set out to make my own maple syrup with real maple flavoring. I found Frontier Maple Flavor to work the best, A batch of fresh hot maple syrup costs me about 84 cents. I can control what's in it, like organic sugar and no preservatives or artificial flavor. My family loves it still warm over pancakes and waffles.

Gross 21 Feb. 2015

I suppose if you grew up having the fake stuff, you would enjoy this, but I think it's gross. I used it to make an icing that real maple syrup was making too heavy. My icing tasted like celery, so this manufacturer must use fenugreek to make the imitation flavor. Perhaps it'd be better in a baked good.
