Product Description

The Frontier Stove was originally designed to be sent out to disaster areas with aid agencies. Not only does it offer the practical benefits of warmth and cooking but it is also great to have around and everyone loves an open fire. The legs fold underneath and lock away securely whilst the chimney sections all fit neatly inside the stove.

very pleased 14 Mar 2011
I love my new stove I bought it to use in my bell tent. I've not yet used it in the tent but have tested it for an afternoon in my garden and was very impressed. My neighbours must think I'm mad cooking egg sarnies in the garden in winter but hey they probably already do.

It's not heavy, quiet compact and is easy to put together. It was very simple to use and I soon got a good fire going with some newspaper and kindling, adding larger wood when the fire was going well. After about 10min I put a kettle on to boil which took at least 30min to boil but after that I cooked the eggs which was much faster as I had got used to the stove by then plus it had had longer to heat up properly.

I've bought some dektite flashing to go through the tent canvas which wasn't expensive and I'm looking forward to my first trip out in the bell tent with it. It would also be good for an allotment or somewhere like that as well.

great! 5 Dec 2011
By fins
i bought this stove a couple of weeks ago for full time use in my static caravan which i am spending the winter in. apart from a couple of pretty minor design flaws, i love it! it heats the whole caravan nicely, have taken room temp upto 28 degrees c at times (can push it further) plus the ability to cook and make tea etc is brilliant. the only bad words i have to say is that theres no real easy way of sweeping it out without making a mess (though after a couple of days i got my technique down) and the narrow 6cm flue cloggs very quickly and requires dismantling and cleaning every two days or you end up with a very smokey room. it is very easy to do this, but a bit of a pain and somthing i was hoping i wouldnt have to do so often. i have today modified my forntier so the flue is 7cm rather than 6, and this seems so far to have made a massive difference on the suction and flame intensity but it is only day one and dont know if i have solved the clogging problem yet. for the price this is a fab product, i love the design and portability but its obviously designed more for short term use though it blatently can cope with more full time use, but will need regular maintainance. LOVE IT.

Great ! 21 Dec 2011
You get all you need apart from the tools to rake out the ash and sort out the fire, fantastic value for money and much more practical than fire pits etc for providing a source of heat outdoors

I am well happy
