I bought this to ferry small items backwards and forwards to my allotment. It isn't a universal fitting - I had to tape a piece of rubber to the handle bar bracket of my bike as the strut on the basket that rests against the handle bar bracket to stop the basket from slipping down onto the front wheel wasn't long enough (a very simple adaptation that only took a few seconds). Fitting the basket was very easy and straightforward (my daughter also bought one for her bike and she had no problems at all fitting hers). Unlike some of the other reviewers, I've had no problem with things jumping out of my basket, but I only use my bike on even surfaces such as roads and cycle tracks. All in all, I'm very pleased with it.

A really easy to install and use bicycle basket that can also be removed and used as a portable basket. Particularly useful for shopping! Great value and very speedy delivery too.

The poor bracket design on this item means the weight is supported by the tightening of a single nut. therefore there is a lot of downwards rotation and in my case the basket scraped along the top of the wheel. had it on my bike for max three weeks.

Good basket
Nice size and has a handle so it can be carried. I've yet to try out the quick release but don't think there will be much of a problem. Delivered very quickly too.

Fixings not correct

Functional as basket, tricky to fix

Front Mesh Wire Basket
The quality of this mesh basket was very good but the only quibble i have is that the screws that you fasten the basket on the bike with are really tiny and hard to access. Read more
