As a toursit turned resident in Malta, I think this guide book to Malta is one of the best out there, hands down. It gives tips on what to do depending on the duration of your stay and they are spot on. It also provides good directions to little known places that even I, having lived here for awhile, would never have found on my own. The restaurant and hotel recommendations are good, but as with every guide book, you shouldn't follow them too closely. The book comes with a map which is very useful, and includes beautiful pictures. The only downside to this book is that Malta's bus system is changing this year so the current transportation information will soon be out of date. I always give this book as a gift to family and friends who come to visit me here in Malta and highly recommend it.

Although this book was informative and well illustrated, it should be noted that the information regarding bus transport is out of date. The bus provider is now Arriva and all information regarding bus routes and charges has changed.
