5.0 out of 5 stars Frommers won't let you down 3 Jun 2013
Format:Paperback
Often rely on Frommers for travelling, and this new book hasn't let us down. Used it three times already and found it enhanced our trips. Pleasingly there wasn't an inaccuracy in it - all the places mentioned that we chose to visit, existed and were exactly as described. We have so far used it for the French Riviera and for Paris. You can tell its been written with some care and some humility and we've enjoyed the pieces that have brought the areas to life. Think we'll be using this for a few years to come. Highly recommended.

5.0 out of 5 stars Frommers is the best 8 Aug 2013

Significant amount of good information, can't really go wrong with Frommers. We used this extensively while we were driving around Normandy. They have excellent coverage of that area and its associated towns.

5.0 out of 5 stars Great Guide for Touring France 2 Jun 2014
By Ensele Family - Published on Amazon.com
Format:Paperback
We used the Frommer's Guide (an older copy) for traveling through France and found it helpful. There are plenty of quiet little villages to check out and then, of course, the big cities too. Strasbourg is very much worth the trip. Many famous composers once studied here and it's a beautiful city. Of course, almost everyone that goes to France visits Paris. We were no exceptions. Paris, like most big cities, has its large share of museums. We did visit the Louvre and were shocked by how small the Mona Lisa really is in person. We were not expecting that. The Louvre has some beautiful artwork but it's also very busy at pretty much any given time so we didn't spend a whole lot of time there. The highlight of our time in Paris was walking along the Seine and visiting Sacre Coeur. Of course, as most tourists, we visited the Eiffel Tower. I was only 3 months pregnant at the time, so I still had plenty of energy for us to take the stairs all the way to the top. We did take our time though. When we got to the top of the Eiffel Tower, it was so foggy that we only had small glimpses here and there of the view all around us. It was worth it though, even with the fog. You don't have to spend a lot of money to be able to enjoy Paris. If you love walking and sitting and relaxing too, you really get to see a lot of the city itself without the big crowds and spending lots of time indoors. We'll definitely use the Frommer's Guide again if we ever return for a future family vacation.
4.0 out of 5 stars good facts but a heavy book to carry 3 April 2014

Has everything you need for trips in france but it gets alittle heavy to carry as the day goes on
4.0 out of 5 stars A Good Place to Start 17 Jan 2014
By Bari Singer - Published on Amazon.com
Format:Paperback|Verified Purchase
If you're thinking about a trip to France, Frommer's is a good place to start. Lots of advice about where to go, what to do, how to avoid long lines, etc. Also give prices for hotels and suggested itineraries if you are doing it on your own rather than on a tour.
