5.0 out of 5 stars Perfect for a weekend trip to Florence! 29 Dec 2010
Format:Paperback|Amazon Verified Purchase
After buying a Frommers day to day for a weekend in Paris a couple of years back, we bought this for our trip to Florence.

Day to day guides are great for helping you put together an itenary for between 1-5 days so that ou make the most of the time you are in a city - this guide was no exception.

Its a nice smallish book, that fitted into my girlfriends handbag easily & the pull out map was really useful for getting us around florence.

Definitely worth buying if you are taking a trip to Florence!

5.0 out of 5 stars Great Book 6 April 2010
Format:Paperback
Gives wee snippets of information and easy to read and comes with a waterproof/ wipe clean map of the area. Highly recommended. Not gone though, leave in 7wks but I'm confident it's not lacking any detail. Not sure if I would rely on it alone (before you go) as bought another on the area too but this one is easy to fit in your bag/ pocket so this one will be coming with me.

5.0 out of 5 stars The one to take! 1 Mar 2010
By Pamela A. Lis - Published on Amazon.com
Format:Paperback
This is a great resource and I am happy to have found the series. No one wants to carry around a heavy, cumbersome guide book while touring. This book is a manageable size and weight. It has a chart with bus routes, a small map in front, detailed areas mapped throughout, and a removable, fold-out map with a pocket in the back to hold it. There are suggested tours to guide you, depending on your time frame. Its descriptions are short but for more details I would suggest reading other guide books before hand to get a better idea of what you want to do and see and coordinate it with the Frommer's. No one guide book is going to give you everything you need and want but Frommer's Day by Day has so many of the elements of a good guide book, it's the one to carry with you.

5.0 out of 5 stars Excellent portable guide to Tuscany 24 May 2010
By Ben Peters - Published on Amazon.com
Format:Paperback|Amazon Verified Purchase
This is a compact excellent review. Easy to carry. Not a lot of detail, but enough to help decide where to go, where to eat, what to do in Tuscany. Restaurant guide was right on. If you want a really detailed guide to Tuscany, this may not be enough, though the guide to Florence was quite detailed and inclusive. It definitely help make our trip a success.
