Product Description

Product Description

Selling for a lower price than any similar guidebook, and deliberately limited to a short 256 pages, this EasyGuide is an exercise in creating easily-absorbed travel information. It emphasizes the authentic experiences in each destination:the most important attractions, the classic method of approaching a particular destination; the best choices for accommodations and meals; the best ways to maximize the enjoyment of your stay. Because it is "quick to read, light to carry", it is called an "EasyGuide", and reflects Arthur Frommer's lifetime of experience in presenting clear and concise travel advice.

About the Author

Eric Peterson has been writing about travel for more than 20 years. Beyond covering the Rockies in numerous Frommer's guidebooks, he has also written about skiing, hiking, and other ways to get up and down mountains for such publications as the New York Daily News, Delta Sky, and his own Ramble series of travel books. When he's not on the road, he covers the arts, technology, and city-building for Confluence Denver, a "hyper-local" website. Eric lives in Denver with his wife, Jamie, and their trusted canines, Mimi and Duncan.

3.0 out of 5 stars No index to Frommers Easy Guide 27 Jan 2014
By Cathy
Format:Paperback|Verified Purchase
This guide has lots of useful information in it, and the clear font makes it easy to read. However, there is no index so it is difficult to locate particular items of interest- I wondered if this was a mistake. Also, there is a sad lack of maps compared to Lonely Planet.

Great quick reference book whether you are visiting or live in CO. There are lots of great suggestions to be found in this book without it being too bulky to carry around.

5.0 out of 5 stars This book was really helpful for Denver and seems to be spot on for skiing, too 22 Nov 2013
By Jennifer Bush - Published on
What a terrific guide this is! I was in Denver last week and the restaurant suggestions were spot on, as were the sightseeing suggestions. I'm now using the book to plan a ski vacation for January and am finding those chapters really helpful, too. I've always loved Frommers, but this new series is so much easier to read and carry (I like the concise new format).

5.0 out of 5 stars Well worth the price! 5 Nov 2013

I just got this book as I am planning a trip over Christmas to ski and explore Colorado. I'm so, so happy that I did, as I already have so many pages marked, and pretty much have the whole trip planned!
The book is very well written, and very easy to digest. It also seems to have a "locals" perspective, as I happily found some ideas I wasn't expecting. Well worth the price!

2.0 out of 5 stars Easy? 30 April 2014

For the author to write perhaps. There's so much missing information that the book is irrelevant. I'll post again when I find something "difficult."
