Sylvie Hogg Murphy has been writing guidebooks and travel articles about Italy and her favorite city, Rome, for more than a decade. Her insider and intimate knowledge of the Eternal City, both past and present, come from her degree in Classical Archaeology and from her experience as an expatriate in Rome, where she pounded the cobblestones as a tour guide for five years. Poor maps 10 Mar 2014
By DCdog - Published on Amazon.com
Format: Paperback
The book itself is very easy to read, however the maps lack much necessary detail (i.e. street names) so it was just not functional for us while walking on the smaller streets of Rome.

I did like the day-day layout and neighborhood walk plans - the bad maps really did ruin it though.
You must pack this in your carry-on. 14 Oct 2014

Format: Paperback
This book was very helpful. It is written for any traveler whether you have one day or many days in Rome. The self-guided walking tours are outstanding. I used several.
