More About the Author

British born Anna E. Brooke has been living in Paris since 2000. She fell into travel writing by accident in 2002, and has since authored seven guidebooks on Paris and France for Frommer's (including the bestselling "Day by Day Guide to Paris"). She is currently freelancing for The Sunday Times Travel Magazine and Time Out Paris; and writing children's fiction projects (literature and film/TV). When not putting pen to paper, she composes music for her left-field pop act, Monkey Anna, and for Brooke & Bussy, a song-for-film duo, with French "victoire de la musique" winner, Xavier Bussy: http://www.soundcloud.com/monkeyanna. She can be contacted on annaebrooke@yahoo.fr.

Fact Checking 10 Jan. 2014
By rainy day - Published on Amazon.com
Format: Paperback
Just a warning to fellow travelers:

I have run across several pieces of information in this book that are simply wrong.

Two in the Hemingway Walk alone: the Shakespeare and Company bookstore was at 12 rue de l'Odéon in the 1920s (not #11); and Mr. Hemingway never lived at 39 rue Descartes - it was where he wrote while he and his first wife were living on rue du Cardinal-Lemoine).

These may seem like silly bits of trivia - but imagine yourself traveling all the way to Paris, taking a photo of yourself in front of 11 rue de l'Odéon, then returning home to find that the historical location that you really wanted was across the street.

I would recommend that you double check the information on anything you consider to be important.

Happy travels!
