Product Description

“In a matter of minutes on a Friday night, I lost my school, my identity, the security of my first love, the personality of my sweet fearless brother, my best friend, my town, everything as I knew it. Everything changed.”

"Minutes - that’s all it takes to change your entire life. How do you deal with that?”

For high school senior Jules Blacklin surviving the storm is only the beginning. Faced with the new reality of her life, she must find a way to rise From The Wreckage and answer the question - how do you get back to normal, when everything that was normal is gone?

About the Author

Michele is the author of the Coming of Age Fantasy Trilogy The Prophecy of Tyalbrook - Never Let You Fall, book one (May 2013) and Never Let You Go, book two (Jan 2014) as well as the New Adult Romantic Suspense, Last Call (Oct 2013). Her newest series, From The Wreckage, releases June 2014. Having grown up in both the cold, quiet town of Topsham, Maine and the steamy, southern hospitality of Mobile, Alabama, Michele is something of a enigma. She is an avid Yankees fan, loves New England, being outdoors and misses snow. However she thinks southern boys are hotter, Alabama football is the only REAL football out there and sweet tea is the best thing this side of heaven and her children's laughter! Her family, an amazing husband and three awesome kids, have planted their roots in the middle of Michele's two childhood homes in Charlotte, North Carolina. 4.0 out of 5 stars Turned out to be a good read 7 Sept. 2014
By Katie85 TOP 1000 REVIEWER
Format:Kindle Edition|Verified Purchase
I was pleasantly surprised by how much I enjoyed this story given that it is, essentially, a story about a teenage romance. I downloaded it as it was free and I liked the idea of a character trying to rebuild their life after everything they knew falls apart - it would have been different from stories I have read previously.

It turns out that, despite the fact the central characters are 17 and gearing up for their final year of high school, it is a story about life too and I am sure many of us can relate to a time when our 'normal' disappeared pretty quickly and have had to go about finding a new 'normal'. Jules' life may have turned upside down quite drastically but at the same time, it is quite believable how she starts questioning her relationships with people. Jules is an easy character to like, she seems quite mature even before the storm hits, and she is backed up by good friends and a decent family.

Although it ends at a good point, there is more mileage for a sequel and I am tempted to download books 2 and 3 to see its real conclusion. This is a relatively short read, about 200 pages, but it is a compelling read so it does not take long to read at all. All in all, a good book and would suit anyone who likes a good romance story.

5.0 out of 5 stars Gripping and impossible to put down! 17 Oct. 2014
Format:Kindle Edition|Verified Purchase
When i first started reading this book I was a bit reluctant due to it being about school age people. I wasn't all that far into it before I became hooked. I seriously could not put it down. It is gripping and very well written. The story pulls you in and you can't read it fast enough. I am just about to go and buy the second one in the series as I can't stop thinking about this one and wondering what the next entails. (Which means I won't achieve much housework for the next day or so!) Such a great book!

5.0 out of 5 stars An amazing Freebie that I loved every page of... 7 Dec. 2014
By KirstyB
Format:Kindle Edition|Verified Purchase
I will be honest and say that I only downloaded this as it was free. I don't usually read teen books but thought the story sounded good. Good doesn't even come close to this story. The emotion involved is immense I felt like this girl is pouring her heart out on every page. This book made me cry lots but smile too at the hope and friendships these young people had. I love that she has West to rely on, everyone needs a West in their life. It's an emotional roller coaster and I loved every minute of it. I'm off to read part 2 once I've done some chores as I've spent the morning reading from start to finish I just couldn't put it down. As I said before I was lucky enough to download for free but I would have gladly paid for this book and it would be worth every penny. It isn't an author I was familiar with before but she is now on my favourites list.

2.0 out of 5 stars teenage romance 2 Sept. 2014
Format:Kindle Edition
This had a promising start but it is really just a teen angsty romance set very much in the world of teenage america, not for adults.

4.0 out of 5 stars Natural disaster and a small town. 11 Sept. 2014
By Karen
Format:Kindle Edition|Verified Purchase
This was a really delightful story considering people died.
The jist of it: tornado hits small town, people get separated, others band together to find protection, two childhood friends find each other and bam, friendship is rekindled and turned into manic love under stressful circumstances. Leads on to book 2 and 3 which I happily paid for. Author finishes it at book three, which was a good choice as the story had run it's course.

4.0 out of 5 stars A community ripped apart 18 Oct. 2014
Format:Kindle Edition|Verified Purchase
The story starts with Jules reliving her story onto video. Of how she ended up in the path of a tornado, of how she survived and some of her friends did not. Interwoven with this is her feelings for an old friend who becomes her hero. There is the grief as she attends the funerals of people she knew.
A story for all ages as the main caricatures are late teens but the story could hold true for anyone.
