Product Description

By the time Elvis Presley appeared on Ed Sullivan's "toast of the town" show for the first time he was already the number one musical attraction in the world. Six Dorsey, two Milton Berle and one steve Allen tv show had catapulted him straight to the top. The only logical move was Ed Sullivan who changed his mind and decided it was to his advantage to showcase Elvis. So he signed him up for three appearances which imediately broke every rating and firmly established Elvis Presley as an American legend. Much of what has been written about the Sullivan shows has been accurate except for statement that Elvis was filmed "from the waist up". In fact the only show broadcasted this way was the third and final one. The first two showed him from head to toe except for "ready teddy" and "hound dog", he didn't really moved that much anyway. Now hear Elvis on all three Ed Sullivan shows & The Milton Berle show of June 5 and the one and only Steve Allen show performance. It is Elvis at his very best.

Not for the casual fan as the sound is not brilliant, but for devoted Elvis fans a must have purchase.
