This book picks up from the point, where the 1982 classic, Subway Art (Martha Cooper & Henry Chalfant) leaves off, and documents all the way up to the end of the era of graffiti on New York subway trains, some great (unseen photo's) of a classic period in graffiti history, that is a must for any graffiti art purist, or for anyone wishing to understand where graffiti's roots eminate from, lovers of Street art/stencil art (i.e Ba**sy) should steer well clear !

Put together by a writer who shares his photos of the last days of subway graffiti before the buff took its toll.This book is as good as it gets from someone who was there.

Awesome book....I really liked how it had interviews of the writers talking about a specific piece with a picture of that piece rolling. It really drags you into what was going on. Great Job Cavs!!!!

Where do I begin, Cav's has done such a superb job collecting all these pictures over the years. A true historian(Talented one too). I had the pleasure of writing and hanging with Paul in the late 80's. He taught me a lot. Always down to earth, which during those years was a rarity. Thanks for the memories and a Great Book too.
