Looks great ;) 1 Jan 2012
Format:Blu-ray
At first i wasn't sure if i should buy the Blu-Ray version of this movie because there were no other reviews but now i'am happy i did it ;)
This Review isn't realy about the movie but more about the Blu-Ray release of it, because everyone should know this movie anyways!

The Case includes nothing but the Blu-Ray.
On the Disc you have besides the movie the following Bonus Features:
Audio Commentary by Robert Rodriguez and Quentin Tarantino
Outtakes
Hollywood Goes to Hell Featurette
2 Music Videos (After Dark - Tito & Tarantula, She's Just Killing me - ZZ Top)
Stills Gallery
The Art of Making the Movie
Deleted Scenes & Alternative Takes
On the Set Featurette
Theatrical Trailer

These Bonus Features are pretty intresting and give you a good look behind the scenes. (About an Hour and Half)
The Movie looks very nice in 1080p, sure there are Blu-Ray's with better Quality but it's definetly an upgrade from DVD.

I'am very happy that i finally bought this Movie on Blu-Ray and it's well worth it's price.
I hope this Review helps you with the decision whether or not to buy it.

For any misspelling i'am very sorry but english isn't my primary language ;)

I always thought one of the advantages of Blu Ray was that it enabled the film company to include loads of extras on the Blu Ray disc. This offering doesn't even contain the one hour "Full Tilt Boogie" featurette that comes with the original DVD version. The transfer to Blu Ray is OK, but nothing spectacular. This is one of my favourite films of all time but I'm only give this a three star rating because, quite frankly, it's a total rip off transferring this to Blu Ray and not including all the original extras.

From Dusk til Dawn follows a notorious pair of criminal siblings on the run from the Texas Rangers who kidnap a father and his children, and make them drive them across the border. What seems like a seedy bar to pass the time in, the unlikely group find themselves in a bar populated by vampires!

This is the one of of those 'cult classics' which I have never really sought out to see, aside from the notorious scene involving a red velvet bikini and a snake!! I was thoroughly surprised to find myself enjoying every moment of this film.

To start, I am not a fan of Clooney, I think his roles as the nice-yet slightly criminal guy are a bit tedious and repetitive. Let me say this role in totally outside his comfort zone, and thoroughly refreshing. He is superb in his role as a really nasty notorious criminal. It includes some usuals from the Tarantino/Rodriguez cast such as Harvey Keitel, Cheech Marin and Danny Trejo amongst others you will recognise.

Overall - I was very surprised at how unseemingly brilliant this film is - a film of two halves - starting of like a crime thriller and evolving into a horror thriller with bucket loads of gore, which is what Rodriguez is known and loved for!
