Book Description

It’s been 6 months since the end of the world, and Adrian will now discover if the choices he’s made have cost him a son. Even Angie can’t be sure. Neither can the others like her who he's been gathering. The abilities of the descendants are growing, and so is Safe Haven's awareness of having magic in their midst. Angela is no longer the only Witch in camp... if she ever was.
On the way to Arkansas, the battered refugees face a more dangerous threat than even the Slavers. Furious at the latest bloodshed, Mother Nature has declared her own war on the survivors, and she repeatedly unleashes her fury against Safe Haven and its army of violent defenders. The apocalypse has never been more lethal as the aftermath continues to take its toll on what remains of the great American herd.

    More About the Author

    Hello,
    I'm Angie. (Pen name)

Little pleases me more than to explore the dark fantasy and horror stories in my head. Knowing other people like them, is second only to the magic of this new career I've chosen. As a die-hard Cincinnatian, I much prefer writing to the stresses of being a city Taxicab dispatcher. Thank you for making my dreams possible, and for looking at this page!

Now that the pleasantries are out of the way, lets you and I take a little stroll. There's a story I need to let out of its cage and I think it's one you need to hear. It's about the end of the world as we know it...

Note: Many of my books were removed until the new editors, Kim and Sharon, and I, could get them into top shape. It was clear from the reviews, that we had a lot of work to do. We began in Feb. As of Oct., we now have 9 of 11 titles finished and back online for your reading pleasure. The remaining books will return as soon as we finish them.

I have read the whole series apart from the sixth one . For the most part I enjoyed them all until I got to five , the spelling and grammar in this one is atrocious it was obviously written by someone else . But most importantly was the change of tone . Anybody who has read this series quickly works out that the Angela in the novel is a hyped up alter ego of Angela White , same first name and same initial for the surname .
What really concerned me in the plot anybody with powers is a descendant of God , and blue and green eyed people are good and brown eyed people are not good . Does Ms Winters know that Jesus was a Jew and would have brown eyes . It is troublesome when this kind of rubbish is spouted in any book no matter the genre . Wii buy no more of Ms Winters books .

1.0 out of 5 stars Praise for the previous books... 20 July 2013
    Format:Kindle Edition|Verified Purchase
I've read all the previous books and loved them, totally gripped from start to finish but I've got to be honest about From the Ashes. I just don't get it. It's far to choppy, the scenes stumbled and incoherent. It's like the author has edited out the explanations and left in the results to story threads. Kyle's infatuation with Jennifer makes no sense, and the camps reactions are weird. Angies story seems to jump forwards and backwards in relation to Marc. Why aren't they a proper couple now? I could go on and on. I love the series but sorry this doesn't do it for me.

4.0 out of 5 stars Good series 17 Sept. 2014

I have just finished reading this one as it is a direct follow on from book 4, it was not such a page turner as book 4, more about the relationships of the characters. As I am getting on in age I find it hard to keep track of all the names, but that is my problem, and with a kindle its harder to flip back to remember who is who.
However I am thoroughly enjoying the whole series, and Angela please look at your grammar, some of the sentences are hard to work out sometimes. Keep up the good work.

Brilliant series a def recommendation for your reading list! X

I have just completed book 6 and eagerly await book 7 and hoping there are many more to come, from chapter one of the very first book which I stumbled on among soooo many post apocalypse novels which are dreary enough to send even the most dedicated book worm to sleep it was a delight to finally find a series where the only thing that made you stop reading was sleep deprivation! Xx

5.0 out of 5 stars Another first class novel from Angela White 16 Oct. 2013
    Format:Kindle Edition|Verified Purchase
An apocolyptic novel tracing one womans journey in the aftermath of War. We meet great characters and the plot moves and twists. I love this writers style and she had me hooked from the first couple of pages, it does have a few typos but even OCD me could see past these as the story line was so good. This is a gem of a book not to be missed and would be great as a mini series. Great characters ,great story and I would recommend this book.

2.0 out of 5 stars Continuing post apocalyptic series 20 Dec. 2013
    Format:Kindle Edition|Verified Purchase
Less well rounded than the last books, I have found myself really disliking some of the characters that I previously liked. I have found a deeper liking for some of the characters who were in the peripheral previously. The writer seems to have found some quite unlikable individuals and tried to weave them in comfortably, I am afraid for me personally it just didn't work. I paid the most for this book, and I am quite disappointed I did.

    2.0 out of 5 stars Rubbish 8 Nov. 2013
    Format:Kindle Edition|Verified Purchase
I've read the previous books and quite enjoyed them but this is awful, I haven't been able to finish it.
There are so many repeated sayings it gets on your nerves in the end. I think we get the fact the Kyle is a mobster and Adrian is either the blond or the dirty blond, it just doesn't have to be said so often.
Everyone now seems to be able to read minds and most of the women are now witches!
    Boring!

5.0 out of 5 stars Epic life after war 29 Dec. 2013
    Format:Kindle Edition|Verified Purchase
Weaving survivalism in with a big dollop of old world magic into this ongoing story of a band of survivors making their way in a post nuclear war scenario, with mother nature having a humour failure at every opportunity, makes for an excellent read.
