FrogTape is the only painter's masking tape treated with PaintBlock® Technology. I have used Frog Tape several times when decorating and it does make a big difference when it comes to paint bleed. It is worth spending the extra over standard masking tape.
As other reviewers have pointed out, you need to be careful when removing so that the tape does not remove paint or plaster. I have found that if you remove the tape slowly and carefully, there is no issue

I used frog tape to get a good line between ceiling and wall. I put the tape an inch down from the ceiling and painted white above it with matt emulsion paint. When i pulled the frog tape off it pulled off all the old paint from the wall plus the plaster and left a real mess. Would not recommend this product as I am now in a much worse mess than when i started!

Before you use this stuff check on the website as they are very careful about what they consider it is suitable for. Like all masking tape there is a real danger that it will lift the surface it is adhered to. http://frogtape.com/
In my case, I followed the instructions to the letter. It worked fine on my varnished skirting coming off cleanly and leaving a sharp line on the emulsion I painted up to the tape. It worked well on my window frames, again varnished, and caused no problems. However, on the varnished window sill, it pulled off a lot of varnish necessitating a complete rub down and re-varnish. I then had to cut into the emulsion by hand with the varnish as well as re-coat the emulsion which inevitably got damaged by the rub down and wash off. With hindsight, I would have used delicate surface, even though all the varnishes had at least 3 days to cure as advised by the tape manufacturer.
My advice, if it's been painted within the last six months, don't chance it, use delicate surface, even then be prepared for damage to occur. I think this applies with all masking tape, if at all possible, avoid it if you can. OK on metal, glass or plastic and other non painted surfaces, chancy on paint and varnish.
