5.0 out of 5 stars best of the bunch 6 Jun 2001
Format:Audio CD
silverchair are the perfect balance, and the perfect band for all of you that like nu-rock, punk, any music goin that way. good mix, 'israels son' is a fairly heavy one, but songs such as 'suicidal dream' a more melodic and 'findaway' with a messy punk feel, excellent album, superb lyrics, tunes that are catchy but just completely fabulous, this album is a great one, no matter what you're into. buy. now.

5.0 out of 5 stars the best silverchair record out of the 3! 10 Sep 2000
Format:Audio CD
this album is most cetainly the best release from the aussie trio and is most definatly my favorite especially tommorrow and madman are two of my favorite songs on the record! silverchair are without question one of the best nu-rock bands of the century and have inspired me as a muscian greatly(chris mostly cos he plays bass like me! ) anyway if you don't already have the album and your taking a different turn in music go and buy frogstomp for it is bloody well worth the money!

4.0 out of 5 stars unparalleled
Despite the bands dodgy name (chronicles of narnia anyone?) and an even dodgier cover for their debut cd and despite the fact that some members of the band were extremely young at... Read more

1.0 out of 5 stars Silver Medal
Unfortunately Daniel Johns is a quite poor Lyricist and this reflects on the songs, they are samey and stuck in a rut of teen angst directed at nothing in particular. Read more

As a 16 year old myself, i found this an amazing album. I can't believe that they were 15 when they did this, it really gets me through. Read more

4.0 out of 5 stars What Metallica probably sounded like at 15 in their garage!
Ok, maybe not quite. Gotta have a bit of respect for this band. Most of the songs are gutsy and well rounded. Read more

3.0 out of 5 stars good.......but not brilliant
This is silverchair's first album, and it sounds like exactly what it is - 3 15yr olds playing grunge on record. it isn't revolutionary. Read more

4.0 out of 5 stars Will always beat Neon Ballroom hands down
A winning mix of harder tracks, like Pure Massacre, and the beautiful Suicidal Dream, it still never manages to sound like other bands who just crank up the distortion and hope... Read more
