A real story,

B&B is a brilliant insight into both football and how life holds some nice supprises that turn up in the most unusual places, its a very honest and sensitive story of how diffrent cultures can cross barriers all in the name of love and football. I found it to be hilarious at times as you where transported across continents to turkey and could visualise the author trying to make himself understood when language becomes a barrier.Once started you will find it hard to put down as the story unfolds before you.

What a wonderful little book for all hopeful [?hopeless] football supporters. It really is a religion; only truly great belief in your side could get you through all the anguish ,hope and despair, with the few moments of great joy when it all works out.Topical also showing us how football relations between us and Turkey need not be full of torment and angst. Especially good at showing how love can blossom not only in friendship but also in finding a partner for life; coming from the same background is obviously not all that counts. A good read for all people in mixed marriages and very funny at times. Well done Adrian Stores-a good first book. Lets hope for many more.

Football and cultures mingle,

This is a heartfelt book about football across national frontiers and the development of the author's own interest in a culture that was totally foreign to him. From the opening chapter Adrian takes us into a world which is entirely his own as he develops his friendship with football players across national divides and is invited into their hearts, minds and culture. In return he learns a lot about himself in the process and encounters his first experience of cross-cultural romance. The view and style are idiosyncratic, the author's own passion about football and personal beliefs on love and friendship shine through.
