From the coffee house in New York City comes another superb dose of Friends, packed into one video. Series 2 is regarded as arguably the best series thus far, and is only showed up by this compilation. This was a time, a long time ago, when Warner Bros. didn't rely on the same cheap jokes (albeit very funny ones) which involves something rather silly being said (usually from Joey Tribbiani (Matt Le Blanc)), a long silence, and the gang just trying to break the ice with a quick "O.K, let's go to the coffee house". One of the best things about this compilation is a main storyline being built up within this tape. In the past, Warner Bros have been known to infuriate many, the best example coming earlier in the series, when a story with 2 parts was broken up over the space of 2 tapes. This time, however, we all get to see an exceedingly interesting staoryline, spreading over 2 episodes. Chandler (Matthew Perry) has recently replaced Joey with a new room mate, Eddie (Adam Goldberg). Unfortunately, there is a side effect. The remaining four of the gang aren't really involved. Fair enough, Monica (Courteny Cox Arquette) does get a bit of time in her relationship with Dr Richard Burke (guest star Tom Selleck), and the final episode is roughly centered around Phoebe (Lisa Kudrow). But what about Ross and Rachel (David Schwimmer and Jennifer Anniston respectively)? However, do not let this put you off the video. Still a great classic of the legacy that is Friends.
