This is a lovely story and really nicely written. Sam gets upset with Alice because the egg gets broken and they fall out; but they make friends again just as quickly. Recommended.

My toddler is fascinated by the friends falling out and then making up at the end. Good one for reading over and over again.

My Granddaughter Daisy who is almost 2 years old loves this story (her 4 year old brother has been known to "listen in" too).
A simple tale of two friends on a farm who find an egg which gets broken in transit causing them to fall out with each other.
Don't worry, all ends happily.
It is one of the few books that holds her attention all the way through. The illustrations are beautiful and rather old-fashioned, which is not a bad thing sometimes.
