Bought this alarm system last weekend and installed it within a couple of hours. We didn't want the hassle of wiring up a alarm system and certainly didn't want to pay a company such as ADT £20 a month to monitor alarms. Two things to note when buying this item, 1) To use the autodial function (the system will call you if an alarm has been triggered) or remote manager (to arm, disarm, listen in etc remotely) you will need a telephone line to plug into the control panel. If you do not have a telephone socket nearby then a wireless telephone line extender/jack will work a treat (or did for us anyway). We picked one up from Maplins for £50 (DECT). It also works if you plug it into a 4 way extention! 2)The wall plugs that come with the kit are not suitable for plasterboard which was fine for us but if you have plasterboard you will need to buy others. We had no problem fitting the solar siren to the front of the house, or any of the detectors, with the exception of one of the wall plugs. That may have been down to our drilling but I would pick up some spares just incase. I would totally recommend this wireless alarm system. All tests, including autodial and remote manager worked perfectly and it was very easy to set up. Don't forget to put the wireless siren into service mode when adding new devices, we forgot and both the internal alarm on the control panel and the external on the solar siron were very LOUD! I would also recommend watching the cheesy DVD and reading the instructions before installing. Instructions are very clear. Hope this review is helpful

I thoroughly reccomend this alarm. This is easy to install with guidance from DVD, manual and telephone support when needed. Read through installation process in manual and watch the DVD to its end before installing otherwise you may get the installation wrong. There is remote acess to the burglar alarm via the telephone - eg you can monitor sounds in the home; check status of the alarm; turn alarm off... This product is well worth the investment.
