There are wired cameras for protecting larger properties and wireless cameras for simple installations. Dummy cameras are also available for added visual deterrents.
The Friedland Response CWK3 Wired Colour Camera and 2-Channel DVR CCTV Kit consists of 2 wired, weatherproof CCTV cameras and a 2 channel DVR. The cameras have an IP54 rating making it suitable for both indoor and outdoor use. It’s easy to install and simple to use as all you do is just plug and play with your existing TV / monitor or use to expand an existing wired system. The cameras are fitted with a colour CMOS image sensor which means it’s energy efficient and durable. The cameras also benefit from 11 infra-red LEDs for low light illumination, a 50 degree viewing angle and a night vision range of 9m.
The 2-channel DVR allows you to connect up the 2 wired cameras and monitor them individually or simultaneously as a picture within a larger picture. The larger image will be the one which is being recorded at the time, leaving you the flexibility to monitor the other. The DVR also offers motion trigger recording, so filming only occurs when there is something to film and you can program the sensitivity and area settings to suit your requirements. The Friedland Response 2-Channel Digital Video Recorder has a built-in SD card slot to support up to 2GB memory card and also comes supplied with a 2GB memory card. This allows 12 hours of recording per channel or up to 20,000 photos. The DVR will also date and time stamp the footage so it’s easy to see when captured incidents take place.

Product is ok for price but not great and sensitivity is difficult to set it either wants to record everything or nothing. Picture quality not very clear and I wish I had read the instructions completely before installing this item. Although there are two cameras linked to the recorder note that ONLY ONE CAN RECORD AT A TIME. So if like me you thought that you would have two cameras monitoring your home whilst you were out think again!
not hard to fit,nice pics, well worth the price,verry satisfied. Nice looking cameras and the box don't take any room up
brilliant caught evidence of my neighbour slashing my tyres at night time so job done. if your wanting to record with both cameras at same time then you need a different system because this only records one channel at a time. really easy to set up and mine are outside and can see all even what cat has been dumping on my lawn.
