Having already been disappointed by the poor performance of other wireless door chimes, I hesitated before ordering the Friedland Libra Home and Garden Kit. However, I was very pleasantly surprised. The Friedland unit is well designed, good looking, and works just as well as the manufacturer claims. There is a pleasant choice of chimes, easily selected. The volume is controllable, from very soft, up to my own preference, very loud. And for the stone deaf the unit also displays a highly visible, unmissable, flashing light. Unlike other units the Friedland really does cover the distance range claimed. Other wireless chimes have failed to cope with our solid brick house and wireless internet interference, but the Friedland's frequency is different to the norm, and seems to work admirably. Last but not least, the setting up was a breeze, even for an old technophobe like me.

I, like other reviewers, have tried several cheaper cheaper brands but none would work through more than a couple of walls. This model works perfectly wherever the receivers are on my premises, including the garage at the end of the rear garden. Limited choice of chimes is not a problem - it's only a doorbell!

I had tried several brands and models of wireless doorbell/chimes kits available in the DIY stores, but ended up with frustrations from RF interferences. I was distrubed by the false activations at mid-night. I seeked technical support from the suppliers and I was told that all wireless doorchimes are the same, if I have that RF interence at my house, then I should use a wired doorbell system instead.
I just did not believe what they said and give up the idea of using wireless door chimes. After doing a lot of research on the internet, now I am glad I have found the right one- Friedland Libra+. Installation and setup are easy. I had tried, tested and observed the performance of this kit for 24 hours before I install it. It was perfect, trouble free, no more RF interference. And the signal range does really reach my garden. Though the price is a bit on the high side, it is quality that counts. Recommended.
