Book Description

27 July 2006
Rated X (for Xtra Funny), this giant collection of blue jokes, rude stories and saucy anecdotes comes straight from the kings and queens of adult humour. In the tradition of previous bestselling Friars Club anthologies, it holds more than 2,000 adult jokes, grouped into categories such as Marriage, Medicine, Old Age, Children and (of course) Sex. Much of the material is attributed to well-known and popular comedians, and interviews with other stand-up comics known for their naughtiness are sprinkled throughout.

4.0 out of 5 stars Well done 13 May 2010

This is a good joke book.

I have reviewed several joke books on here and this is one of the best ones i have purchased from Amazon.

It has multiple contributors from many many funny folk. There are all kinds of jokes long ones, short ones, silly ones, cheeky ones and many that i am sure you will have heard before as well.

The book is very well presented a quality production, hardbound. I think hardbound says 'i am a good book.'

It is a good book and will remain in my library until I am an old man.

I think what sets it up is the multiple contributors. It is not just one comedian rattling off the same style of joke over and over again. It has variety and the mood changes from front to back.

Well done on a quality production, i would recommend the book to anybody young or old.

5.0 out of 5 stars Over 2,000 'very naughty' jokes delight the funny bone. 23 Sep 2006
By Midwest Book Review - Published on
Prepare to be shocked and amazed: saucy and sometimes raunchy jokes and stories along with hundreds of rich Roast moments come from Friars Club members and are compiled by an editor of the Friars Club Magazine The Epistle. Here are jokes that proved too lurid to be televised, and ones which are uncut and uncensored at that. Over 2,000 'very naughty' jokes delight the funny bone.

Fun, easy book to pick up and put down whenever you need a good laugh. Gives you a small insight into some of the raunchy fun that went on in that exclusive club when the masters of comedy were at their prime.
4.0 out of 5 stars Dirty Jokes are funny but they get old quick 20 Jun 2014

A lot of these jokes were funny the first time I read them, but they get old quick and a lot of them are pretty predictable. Lest one think that I am a prude, my favorite comedians are Richard Pryor, George Carlin, Gilbert Gottfried and the ladies Maria Bamford and Natasha Leggero, all of whom are more creative than the jokes to be found in this book,

This is another book which I chose not to finish. The jokes were probably funny when told by a good comic, inThe Frier's Club or similar environment, but the jokes weren't all that funny and most, if not all, I had heard before.
