I was in Europe in the summer of 1999 and purchased this CD because it had many songs I heard on the radio or in clubs. At the time, I had no idea I was about to buy one of my favorite CDs ever. The tracks on this CD are an excellent indicator of the songs which were "fresh" in 1999. There are 40 songs between the two discs, and (as and American) I was familiar with a handful. Now I find myself singing along to practically every track!! There are a wide variety of songs, covering various genres of music. My favorites include "Take Me to your Heaven," "Sweet Like Chocolate," and 9 Pm (Till I Come)." After listening to the CD while traveling, my friend also purchased the CD because the mix of songs is perfect.
I have been home for over a year now and this CD is still my favorite. I only wish we had music this great in America!!

Main reason I bought this was for "Insane in the Brain". Unfortunaetly, it's a horrible remix. The rest of the songs are all crappy '90's pop songs which, for the most part, I avoided trying to hear during the '90's.

We traveled through Europe in 1999 and purchased many CDs. Fresh Hits 99 is defitely the pride of our collection. Everytime we listen to this CD (which is very often!!) it brings back many memories of Europe. We have had this CD for a year and a half, and we still can't get enough of it. "Sweet Like Chocolate" and "9 PM (till I come)" are great songs to get us movin, but the #1 song on this CD is definitely "Take Me To Your Heaven." We have played this CD for many of our friends, and they enjoyed wide variety of tracks on the CD.
Simply put, this is the best CD ever and my favorite CD purchase ever. This CD will not disappoint.

This CD is one of the best I own. If you are a fan of dance, pop and techno, I promise you won't be disappointed. I bought it in London in the summer of 99, and I heard a lot of the tracks played in London clubs. For dance tracks, ATB's "9pm (Till I Come)" is great, and so is Fatboy Slim's "Right Here Right Now". With 40 songs, this CD is a total buy. It has good poppy tunes too, like Shanks & Bigfoot's, "Sweet like Chocolate", and Hepburn's, "I Quit". The techno songs are heavy and haunting, and have a refreshingly different sound than a lot of the so-called 'dance tracks' on the radio. The 'slow' songs are far from corny,(minus an over played N'Sync song) and the dance songs, like Glamma Kid's "Taboo", keep me moving through work outs and long drives. There are also some well done cover acts, including Another Level's "Holding Back the Years." And who knew that Tatyana Ali from "Fresh Prince of Belair" could sing? Add it to your collection and all your friends will be begging to borrow it!
