About the Author

BBC Good Food is Britain’s most popular food magazine, run by passionate food lovers for everyone who enjoys cooking at home. Each month’s magazine includes fast family food, recipes for prepare-ahead entertaining and creative ideas for the hobby cook, as well as ideas for your kitchen, dining table, and lots of pleasurable reading. Good Food’s motto is ‘food is fun’, you’ll never find a dull page between its covers.

Orlando Murrin, who has been Editor of Good Food since October 1997, enjoyed his first professional experience of the food world as a restaurant pianist. This was followed by a spell as an advertising copywriter after which he embarked on a journalistic career with Radio Times. His interests led him into a variety of home and lifestyle magazines before he was appointed Editor of Woman and Home in 1994.

Reading this book shows how healthy food can not only be convenient but also interesting. No longer do you have to resort to a kebab or chips after a Friday night and blow that diet, but in the same time it takes to go to the chippie, with these simple recipes you can have your midnight nibble.
