A stunning album, I love Middle Name, Ghost Blues contains the line "My blood burns just like toast" where did that come from? Its a jaw slapping line, really knocked my socks off. Its a punchy album, surprising and that's what Rory was able to do, never blah, blah, blah like a lot of artists, he really could surprise not just song by song but within the song too, something sneaked round the corner and smacked me in the eye and I thought "I never saw that one coming" and I mean it in a really good way. There are a lot of mediocre artists about, some have been around for years and some are pretty new, they sell records but they are just into making money, for Rory it was ALWAYS about the music, he felt every emotion when he wrote and performed, if you read between the lines its easy to see this, you have to look as well as listen. He had so much more to give to the world, so many more surprises to give us. Fresh Evidence is as vital as his first album but has the maturity of someone who has been on the road and performing to an audience a lot. I hadn't heard of Rory till Easter 2012, I can't praise him highly enough, if you like blues and rock and being surprised with your music then do what I did and buy everything he recorded, you won't be disappointed, I can't get enough of him. Buy Fresh Evidence, buy more Rory, crank up the volume and lose yourself in his music.
