I'm genuinely surprised nobody's reviewed this before. What I like about it is that it inspires me to think for myself, rather than having a recipe to follow word for word - which is also useful, don't get me wrong, but the value of this is in knowing what's happening behind the scenes in cooking, and most especially, when things go wrong, why they went wrong and how to "right" them. Also flavours that go well together and an interesting section on sauces as well as a nice section on baking. I fund it kind of shows how the whole thing fits together, but might do well with a few more pictures.
