This is a National Curriculum program for 11 to 14-year-olds. While it specifically covers what students are expected to know for their SATs tests, its content will appeal to anyone starting French studies.
Using a new iconic See-Hear-Repeat-Practise-Play system based on the latest and best Modern Language teaching practice, French Key Stage 3 provides students with an excellent supplement to their first three years of French.
The tutorial screens are supplemented by lively Grammar and Culture sections, as well as an interactive Vocabulary list.
Based around a number of real-life situations, the program helps students to learn and revise simple everyday French. The emphasis is on communication skills so grammar is kept to the minimum needed to deal with given situations.
It starts with a map of France where you can stop off at 20 destinations to learn about language and culture. Dialogue is explained using simple icons backed up by French text with English translations when requested.
The whole feel is light and informal and the use of English is kept to an absolute minimum and is only displayed by user choice.
