I've just started course 1 and I found the excercise book to be very similar to the excercises you get in a main book. I think I could get by without it, but it's allright if you have a few quid to spare.

Found a copy of this in our ski chalet, thought it was a great course for getting back up to speed. Not that much grammar but lots of good "vie quotidienne" content well communicated. Easy to read and assimilate.

I purchased this book, along with the French experience book, and, the 4 CD's. The format is so easy to follow, and, fun to learn, using the CD's. I am not a beginner, but I re-learnt easily. I recommend purchasing the two books, and the CD's. Excellent value.

Great for Post GCSE refresher
