About the Author
Lucy Montgomery was born in Linton, Kent in 1955. After studying French and music at Homerton College, Cambridge she taught French at Dulwich College Prep School, Cranbrook and Hill House School, London before getting married in 1983 and moving to East Kent. In 1991 she opened an 'after school' French club called Ecole Alouette in a converted barn on the family farm. All her books have been written whilst teaching primary aged children the French language. Her great interests are Anglo French history, music, walking and visiting Scotland as much as possibl

I have 3 children who ALL adored both Skoldo Elementary and Book 1!! I brought these over from England and use them in the States where I now live and have yet to find anything that compares! The songs are wonderful and I often find myself singing along to them! Fantastic French learning experience and a system I would HIGHLY recommend to other parents!
