Book Description

Chances are that if you’ve got the comforts of a modern household, you’ve got a freezer (as either part of a refrigerator or as a standalone freezer). While a lot of the contents of a freezer might be ice cubes and frozen desserts such as ice cream and popsicles, the other contents of the freezer are what can get interesting. Maybe you have some meat in the freezer, or maybe you have a prepackaged meal you bought from the grocery store. As long as you don’t have a frozen human head in your freezer, everyone’s freezer looks pretty close to the same. The real question that we’d like to ask is if you have your own premade meals in the freezer. Cooking a meal and freezing it is a great way to make quite a bit of food and having it ready to serve at a moment’s notice throughout the next couple of days you intend on eating it.

With Every Day Freezer Recipes, not only will you have recipes that you can cook and preserve, but you'll also have a large quantity of meals you can make ahead. This cookbook makes it easy to cook foods that you can freeze for breakfast, lunch, dinner, and more without sacrificing taste or time. And remember, review the book so we know how to make each book better than the last!

I looked through the book but never got around to trying out the recipes, felt it was a bit old fashioned.

This book is just bad. Nothing more than a collection of random and not particularly interesting recipies with the subtext that they can be kept in the freezer. Frankly, you could apply that rule to any recipe from any author. So save the pennies and don't bother with this book!

2.0 out of 5 stars not the best book 3 Feb. 2014

I must say, the cover recipe which drew me to this book is not even included. It looks more like a meatball recipe; potentially, it's the filling part. However, the recipe doesn't tell you how to make the pastry part.
There are other recipes which just seem like a regular cookbook, not a freezer specific one.
The book does give a good introduction to freezer cooking though.

3.0 out of 5 stars Why freeze when you can just eat? 5 Feb. 2014
By ColeyB - Published on Amazon.com

The recipes on here sounds amazing and a few of them are perfect for freezing but the dinners seem to take a lot of effort for just a freezer meal. Why go through all the work of cooking in a crock pot for hours just to stick them in a bag to freeze? Makes more sense to just eat them. They sound great but I wouldn't consider them "freezer" meals.

I have always done a lot of freezing. This book gave me tips on things I didn't know or had forgotten. It helps with saving money in the long run. And freezing meals saves on time. I recommend this book.

Time saving recipes that come from freezer. Start from a day of prep time and have meals for some time.
