Sam Jones is back, and she's still wearing rubber. About the Author
This is Lauren Henderson's seventh book featuring her anti-heroine, Sam Jones. The BBC have optioned the books for a series, and they have been translated into several languages. With Stella Duffy, Sparkle Hayter and Katy Munger, she runs a website, www.tartcity.com, devoted to Tart Noir, their brand of girls-behaving-badly crime novels.

Sam Jones is commissioned to do the sets for a production of Midummer's Night's Dream and inevitably comes across a dead body under the floorboards. Great cast of charecters, superb opening scene and satisfying denoument. One to read

I'm prejudiced here, I'm already a great fan of Sam Jones, this one, bought to read on a ten hour train journey didn't disappoint at all, and you need a good book to keep your attention for that long! I loved this one.

Sam Jones, the sculptress-cum-detective heroine, is superb. Feisty and very, very funny, she has a tendency to become involved in murders set in the alternative art world. Hard drinking and entirely capable of looking after herself, she is an extremely engaging creation. After reading this I had to go and buy all of Lauren Henderson's other books, which are equally enjoyable. This one is a real can't put downer.
