Product Description

Synopsis

A combined book-and-DVD package, Freewave is a one-stop scrapbook of cutting-edge designs that allows immediate access to graphic design applications and provides a close study by peeling back the layers of the creative process. The disc contains the complete makeup of the book including fonts, layouts, photographs and illustrations, as well as pieces of interactive software, animations and sound loops. Uniquely to Freewave, all the designers featured have provided their work in an open format, allowing both student and professional to pull them apart, layer by layer, and so uncover the design methods. And most importantly, as suggested by the title, all the content supplied can be re-used commercially or non-commercially for printed material, website, software or presentation without restriction.

5.0 out of 5 stars Freewave - an unmissable resource. 16 May 2005
Format:Paperback
'Freewave' has to be the best value currently available for non-professionals like me who just love to dabble in digital graphics. How the publisher manages to sell this fabulous book and well-stacked DVD at the asking price is something of a miracle. Some of the individual fonts, symbols or pieces of artwork on the DVD would cost more than the book's asking price if sourced elsewhere.

The book is bursting with inspiration - an embarrassment of riches to be sure - an Aladdin's cave of graphical delights.

Get it now - you won't be disappointed.

5.0 out of 5 stars Design book of the year! 12 Dec 2004
By Seth
Format:Paperback
I flicked through Freewave and thought that it was fantastic, when I noticed the DVD at the back I was amazed. The entire contents of the book comes on a free DVD, and everything on it is copyright free.

Buy this book now before everyone discovers it. I have no doubt that this will be the most popular design book of 2005.
