I bought this product so that my wife could enjoy music whilst slaving in her poly tunnel. The radio has a really good quality feel to it and considering the low power it must consume the sound is ok, its not hifi but you wouldn't expect it to be. the solar panel must do its job as I have never seen it being wound up. Finally the light is an added bonus, although I couldn't find the switch initially. (you press the light to switch it on/off)
A great alternative to conventional battery powered radio's.

I am a fan of freeplay radios and for years have had the summit freeplay which gives me SW radio when I am abroad. The short wave was the icing on the cake and I was sorry when I lent it to a "friend" and never saw the radio again. But in the UK I have no need for SW stations and for Radio 4 and Classic FM in the bath and garden this radio is pretty much perfect. best sound quality ever and it hardly even needs winding since I keep it on teh windowsill. Amazingly easy to use.simple and brilliant.

The wind-up radio is brilliant. It comes with a sturdy rubber casing. It has great reception. And even has a little LED to use as a light if you should need it. For the price it is wonderful. It is great for use anywhere.
