Well, i must say, erasure are getting it right again. Since the embrionic days of erasure in the mid-eighties, i have been a loyal fan. In my oppinion 'WILD' was the last great erasure album, after a string of amazing productions like CIRCUS, INNOCENTS and WONDERLAND. Saying that, Freedom stinks of typical erasure and i must say, what a great songe. This CD contains some refreshing mixes of the single and will remind true erasure fans why they adore mute records finest production. Look forward to the new 'COVERS' album hopefully being released in 2002. Andy and Vince, keep them coming boys!!

I HAVE LONG BEEN A GREAT FAN OF ERASURE, FROM THE START. I WAS PLEASED TO BE ABLE TO BUY (LOVEBOAT) LAST WEEK HERE IN THE U.S AT A LOCAL IMPORT STORE, WELL WORTH IT. ALTHOUGH I MUST SAY THE SOUND ISN'T TYPICAL ERASURE.. FANS COULD HAVE MIXED FEELINGS. I FOR ONE HOPE THEY HAVE A FEW MORE REMIX SINGLES... ALIEN, SUREAL,AND MOON & THE SKY COULD BE HUGE REMIX POTENTIAL... DOES ANYONE OUT THERE WISH THAT ERASURE WOULD HAVE MADE A REMIX OF (REACH OUT)?..FROM COWBOY?..I THINK THAT COULD BE A GREAT REMIX......

I have to say Erasure made quite a mess of things with their albums ''Erasure'' & ''Cowboy''. But with 'Freedom' from their forthcoming new album 'Loveboat' is a fine example of how a great Erasure song should sound like. It is very catchy and very similiar sounding to their 1988 hit 'A Little Respect' for it's Accousitc guitar sounds from Vince. Andy meanwhile has included some fine vocals in Freedom and another great point is his vocals are not too high pitched, so we can easily sing along if we want to. I think this is Erasure's best song since 1992 and believe it could do really well in the UK charts if given half the chance.
